This past weekend, WordCamp Sydney 2024 took place on November 2-3 at the University of Technology, Sydney, and OzHosting.com was proud to be represented by attendees Doug Endersbee (CEO), Aleksey Anisimov (Operations) and Teri Lianos (systems and development).

This dynamic, volunteer-run event brought together WordPress designers, developers, marketers, and business owners, all eager to explore the latest in WordPress innovation and community.

Special thanks to Web Pros team Elena Deryabina and Bertil Brendeke for hosting a pre-event dinner for the tight-knit community of Aussie hosters – always good to meet and share experiences!

What Makes WordCamp Unique?

WordCamp Sydney is a nonprofit gathering that fosters an open, collaborative environment for WordPress users of all skill levels. Attendees enjoy educational sessions on everything from development trends to content strategies, with a strong focus on learning, free from sales pitches.

A Full Weekend of Learning and Networking

Across two engaging days, Aleksey and Teri attended talks led by industry experts who shared valuable insights to elevate projects and skills. Connecting with fellow WordPress enthusiasts allowed for idea-sharing, trend discussions, and lasting connections. Event sponsors contributed a hands-on experience with new tools and products.

Great to see in some of those sessions the importance of web hosting infrastructure for your web site – like in this session by Ross Minney on performance problems (and solutions!) with WordPress – we couldn’t agree more!

Fresh Insights and Experiences Every Year

Each WordCamp brings something fresh, whether it’s your first event or your tenth. This year we certainly left inspired, with new strategies and ideas to enhance the OzHosting.com customers’ experience.

We’re excited to put these insights into action and strengthen our connection with the WordPress community while doing so.
