Does this service just back my Microsoft 365 email?

Our Microsoft 365 backup service will backup an assigned user’s mailbox in real time. Ensuring that all data that is sent or received is securely stored as soon as it is sent or received.

As part of the service, our Microsoft 365 backup also backs up your OneDrive for Business and SharePoint folders and files. These can also be quickly and easily restored when needed.

Do I need to add this service to all users?

Not at all, our email backup and Microsoft 365 backup solutions are billing on a per-user per-month basis. As a result, you are able to select which of your users will have the service assigned. We recommend the use of this feature on management staff as well as any user whose mailbox includes important or sensitive data.

You are also able to mix and match between the daily email backup and live archive solution.

Once an email has been backed-up can it be deleted?

No. Once an email has been backed-up any deletion of the email from the mailbox will not remove it from the backup service. You will also not see a delete option within the email backup dashboard. This ensures that any email that lands in the backup is secure and recoverable for as long as the service is active.

Where is my Microsoft 365 backup hosted?

Like all of our services, we’ve ensured that all email backup solutions are hosted in a secure data-centre right here in Australia.

For redundancy purposes, your email backup is stored in a separate secure data centre to your emails. This ensures that in the unlikely event of an outage, your email back is not affected is still able to be recovered quickly and easily.
